There is no specific breed or subspecies of lion known as the "lion persian." It is possible that this is a reference to either the Asiatic lion or the Persian lion, both of which are now extinct in the wild and only survive in captivity in zoos and breeding programs. The Asiatic lion is believed to have been found in the regions of Persia (modern day Iran) and India, while the Persian lion was found in regions of western Asia. Both lions were known for their large size, impressive manes, and fierce hunting abilities. Unfortunately, their populations declined sharply due to hunting, habitat destruction, and human encroachment on their territories, and they are now considered critically endangered species.
